Meet the Principal

 

Hello all! My name is Whitney Pieper and I am the principal at New Plymouth Elementary School. I have lived in New Plymouth nearly all of my life and attended all three schools, being a Pilgrim since age 5. I grew up with many of the faces you see in each building, as some of the staff taught me! 

 

I attended Treasure Valley Community College, followed by Lewis-Clark State College, receiving my Bachelor's degree. Just a few months after graduating, I was offered a position teaching 5th grade at New Plymouth Elementary School. While teaching, I went back to college, seeking a degree in Educational Leadership. I attended University of Idaho and obtained my Master's Degree. After teaching 5th grade, I was offered a position at New Plymouth Middle School teaching mathematics. I absolutely loved teaching math, but when a position came open at the elementary school, my heart called me back! 

 

I have been the principal at New Plymouth Elementary School since the 2021/2022 school year. I have so much pride in our little school and our Lil' Grims. We have a phenomenal staff and the best students around! We work hard to meet the needs of all of our students; social, emotional, and academic. Our Chill Room and WIN Time are great examples of this.

 

My goal as principal, is to create an environment for everyone in the building that has them eager to learn, excited to be at school, and proud to be a Lil' Grim!
